Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing

To obtain a Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (Level A) you will need to undertake training and then have your competences affirmed by an Assessor (that is, a Chartered Psychologist whose assessment methods have been verified by the Society). In many cases, trainers are also Assessors, but not necessarily so.

Fees for training courses

Details of the cost of the training courses in Educational Testing can be obtained directly from the course organiser. The Society's role is to set standards in testing. We do not set fees for any training courses or assessments.
Assessors are Chartered Psychologists who charge professional fees, which are comparable with other professions.

Accreditation of prior learning for those who hold a Level A Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing

Although there are many points of similarities between the Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (Level A) and the Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing (Level A), there are also sufficient differences regarding contexts of test use to require that competence is demonstrated in each certificate, whether or not the applicant has completed the equivalent level certificate in Educational or Occupational testing. However, certain core competencies may be accredited as prior learning.
