How to become an Assessor for Educational or Occupational Testing

Chartered Psychologists who hold the Society’s qualifications in test use and have a current entry on the Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU) can enter the BPS verification process to become an Assessor. Successful Verification and entry into the Quality Assurance process enables an Assessor to gain an Assessor’s Certificate, which is valid for 5 years and renewable thereafter by re-entering the Verification/Quality Assurance process.

Verified Assessor status gives an Assessor the mandate to affirm the competence of delegates training as test users. In turn these test users can apply for the Society’s qualifications in test use and an entry on the Register.
